New Patients Are Welcome
Whether you just moved to Mobile, haven't been to the dentist in years, or have had a bad experience somewhere else — you're in the right place. We start by listening. Treatment comes after we understand what's going on and what you actually want.
Ready to get started? We make it easy.
What to Expect at Your First Visit
Your first visit is our chance to get to know you and understand what you need. We will review your health history, talk through any concerns, take any needed images, evaluate your teeth and gums, and explain what we see in plain language.
New to Mobile or still deciding where to go? A few guides that help: what to look for in the best dentist in Mobile, AL, how to find a dentist near you, and why choosing one family dentist for everyone makes life easier.
If treatment is needed, we will walk you through your options and help you understand what is urgent, what can wait, and what the next step would look like. Our goal is for you to leave with clarity, not confusion.
If you are nervous about the dentist or it has been a while since your last visit, you are not alone — here's how we help anxious patients feel safe. Please let us know when you call or when you arrive — we will meet you where you are.

We'll take digital X-rays to get a complete picture of your oral health — these are quick, comfortable, and use far less radiation than traditional film X-rays.

Cleaning (if time allows)
Depending on your appointment length and any treatment needed, we'll complete a professional cleaning at your first visit or schedule it for a follow-up appointment.

New Patient FAQs
We accept most major dental insurance plans. Call us at (251) 308-0584 and we'll verify your benefits before your appointment. See our Insurance & Financing page for more details.
We typically have new patient appointments available within a few days. For dental emergencies, we offer same-day appointments — call us at (251) 308-0584 and we'll get you in as soon as possible.
We do our best to accommodate urgent needs the same day, especially for patients in pain. For routine new patient exams, availability varies — call us at (251) 308-0584 or check online for the next opening.
We'll take digital X-rays, do a full exam of your teeth, gums, bite, and jaw, and screen for oral cancer. Then we'll walk you through exactly what we found — including photos from our intraoral camera if needed — and discuss any recommended treatment. Nothing gets scheduled without your understanding and agreement first.
Plan for about 60–90 minutes. New patient exams include a full health history review, X-rays, a comprehensive exam, and time to talk through what we find and answer your questions. We don't rush first visits.
Your insurance card, a photo ID, and any information about medications you're currently taking. If you have recent dental X-rays from a previous dentist, we're happy to accept those — just let us know ahead of time. You can also complete your new patient forms online before you arrive to save time.
You're not alone — dental anxiety is very common. Please let us know when you call and when you arrive. Our team is experienced with anxious patients and will take extra time to explain what we're doing, check in with you, and ensure you're comfortable throughout your visit.
Yes! We welcome patients of all ages. We recommend a child's first dental visit by age one or within six months of their first tooth. Our team loves working with young patients and creating positive first experiences.
Our new patient exam is $125 for patients without insurance. If you're coming in with an urgent issue, our emergency exam is $49. We also offer a RCD Dental Savings Plan at $336/year that includes exams, X-rays, and cleanings plus discounts on treatment.
Yes — we offer financing through Cherry financing, which allows you to split treatment costs into monthly payments. Applying takes just a few minutes and doesn't affect your credit score to check. Ask our front desk for details.
It depends on the health of your gums. Dental insurance typically covers two routine cleanings per year — but those are designed for patients with healthy gums and no active gum disease. If we find signs of periodontal disease at your exam, a routine cleaning isn't the appropriate treatment. You'd need a deeper cleaning called scaling and root planing, which is a different procedure with different insurance coverage and out-of-pocket costs.
We always do a full exam before any cleaning so we know exactly what your mouth needs. We'll explain what we find and walk you through your options and costs before any treatment begins — no surprises.
